These Terms of Service govern your use of the Genie Delivery platform and the logistics services we provide. By requesting a quote, booking a shipment or using our website you agree to these terms.
1. Our services
Genie arranges import and export logistics including sea, air and road freight, customs clearance, warehousing and cargo insurance. We act as your logistics coordinator and, where applicable, engage third-party carriers and licensed customs brokers to perform parts of the service.
2. Quotes & bookings
Quotes are estimates based on the information you provide and are valid for the period stated. Final charges may change if actual weight, volume, cargo type, routing, duties or surcharges differ. A booking is confirmed once you accept a quote and we issue a confirmation.
3. Your responsibilities
You warrant that cargo is accurately described, lawfully exported/imported, properly packed and labelled, and free of prohibited or dangerous goods unless declared and approved. You are responsible for providing accurate documentation for customs and border clearance.
4. Charges & payment
Charges are payable per the terms on your invoice. Duties, taxes and third-party fees are your responsibility unless expressly agreed otherwise. We may withhold release of cargo for unpaid amounts to the extent permitted by law.
5. Liability
Our liability is limited as set out in these terms and any applicable international conventions and carrier terms. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Cargo insurance is available and recommended for full protection.
6. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law or NZ Consumer Guarantees Act that cannot lawfully be excluded.
